It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alvin Monroe Shuford (Pelican, Louisiana), born in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana, who passed away on March 20, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roy Jefferson and Alma Louise Shuford; his grandparents, Louis and Mamie Mary; his cousin James Mary (Buster); his parents-in-law, Jack and Lurline Dykes; his wife Jacque; his daughters, Amanda (Joey Mayeaux), Paula (Doyle Callender) and Mary Stoker of Pleasant Hill; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Mayeaux Hammond (Cody) of Billings, Jacqueline Mayeaux of Cardiff, Wales, Katherine, Alllison Callender, Rayden, Raven Farmer and Zeph Stoker; his great grandchild Henley Hammond; and his half-sister Margaret Ann Nixon of Florien.
