He was predeceased by: his brother Benny Paul Trahan (Kathy Trahan); his parents, Preston Trahan and Dorita Desormeaux Trahan; and his mother-in-law Lorraine McNamara. He is survived by: his wife Bridget McNamara Trahan; his siblings, Sandra White (late Howard White) and Roger Trahan; his children, Bethanne Cummings (Frank), Becky Maillet (John) and Preston Trahan; his sisters-in-law, Sharon McNamara and Kathy McNamara; and his pet Belle.
