He was predeceased by: his wife Jill Meucci Johnston; his parents, John L. Johnston, Sr. and Genesta Beyer Johnston; and his sibling Fatina Pazarzis Pravata. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Bruce (Jeff), Julie Johnson (Daniel) and John L. Johnston, III; his grandchildren, Marlin, Ryne, Olivia, Sadie and Hunter; and his siblings, Cleopatra Pazarzis Hastings, Mary Lou Pazarzis Veazey and Louise Pazarzis Ferraez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
