She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wilkins and Bertha Wilkins; her former husband Horace Melvin; and her siblings, James Wilkins, John Wilkins Jr. and Doris Easley.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Harrison; her sons, John "Douglas" Melvin (Blanche), Kenneth Melvin (Connie) and Jeffery Melvin (Kim); her stepsons, Michael Harrison and Wayne Harrison; and her grandchildren, Craig, Rodney, Kenny Jr., Sidney, Matthew and Andrew. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and other relatives.
