He was predeceased by: his children, Joey Poirrier Sr. and Patti Poirrier Amato; his parents, Evans Poirrier and Elsie Poirrier; his sister Vivian; his brother-in-law Jimmy Teague; his brother Floyd Poirrier; and his brother-in-law Lowell Lambert.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Louque Poirrier; his children, Brent Poirrier (Sue), Tina Guidry (Keith) and Todd Poirrier (Robin); and his siblings, Janice Lambert and Ronald Poirrier (Eva). He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
