We bid farewell to Rosa Prince of Patterson, Louisiana, born in Opelousas, Louisiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 10, 2024 at the age of 79. Rosa touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Rosa shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Rosa farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgina "Virgin" Sam and Morman Sam; her siblings, Joseph Sam and Wilda Mae Prince; and her daughter Melissa Marie Prince Tarleton.
She is survived by: her husband Leo Prince, Sr.; and her children, Leo Prince, Jr. (Lakisha) of New Iberia, Demetrice Prince (Tessa) of London, Ohio and Cynthia Prince of Patterson, Louisiana. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel (715 Sixth St, Morgan City, LA 70380). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1011 1st St, Patterson, LA 70392).
