He was predeceased by: his grandmother Winnie Poole Friou; his father Robert Lester Dartez Jr.; and his aunt Barbara Adams Pritchett. He is survived by: his mother Susan Adams Dartez; his brother Wayne Louis Dartez; his grandfather Johnny Friou (Mary Pippen Friou); his aunts and uncles, Elizabeth Gaspard (Altus), Johnnie Glenn Adams Sr. (Cathleen), Teresa Adams Aucoin (Kerry) and Clarence John Gobert; and his cousins, John Warren Craigen III, Candace Kay Joy, Jeannie Marie Hebert (Steven), Johnnie Glenn Adams Jr., Paralee Frances Gobert and John Paul Gobert. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
