She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Louie Eugene Tate and Evelyn Bankston Tate; her sister Lois Tate Riley; and her grandparents, Fred Tate, Elizabeth Tate, Johnnie Bankston and Myrtis Bankston.
She is survived by: her husband Bill Russell; her sons, William Scott Russell (Cynthia) and Jonathan David Russell (Daina); and her siblings, Cheryl Elliott (Larkin), Don Tate (Romelda) and Danny Tate (Rita). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
