Though Bertrand James may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his wife Sally Ann Bennett; and his siblings, Albert Bennett, Wilbert Bennett, Donald Bennett, Calvin Bennett, Charles Allen Bennett, Albertha Richard, Gracie Bennett Jennings and Frankie Mae Ladday.
He is survived by: his close friend Jackie Brown of Patterson, Louisiana; and his children, Bertrand James Bennett, Jr. (Vonlisa) of Mt. Pleasant, Tivan Bennett (Ashley) of Perrysburg, Ohio, Eugena Bennett Livas of Patterson and Courtney Bennett of Lafayette, Louisiana. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends.
