It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Winnie S. Joubert Gamber (Opelousas, Louisiana), who passed away on December 26, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband Samuel Joubert; her son Gregory Joubert; her parents, Willie Soileau and Azalie Soileau; and her siblings, Ray Soileau, Gertie LaFleur and Nazel Fontenot.
She is survived by: her husband James Gamber, Jr.; her children, Gwendolyn Heck (Steven) of Prairieville, LA. and Kenneth Joubert (Patricia) of Sherwood, Arkansas.; her grandchildren, Colby Joubert (Stephanie), Brittany Brewer (Joey), Erica DeRouen (Mark), Samuel J. Heck (Sarah) and Stacey Joubert; and her great grandchildren, Matthew DeRouen, Annabelle DeRouen, Brielle Joubert, Carter Joubert, Hudson Joubert, Valentina Brewer, Benjamin Brewer, Juliet Heck, Valerie Heck and Samuel T. Heck.
