She is survived by: her children, Sheryl Ann Sam Perkins of Opelousas, LA, James Larry Sam (Loretta) of Opelousas, LA, Garry Sam (Janice) of Opelousas, LA, Carlton Peter Sam, Jr. (Malinda) of Opelousas, LA and Craigory Troy Sam, Sr. (Tamie) of Opelousas, LA; and her siblings, Terry Batiste (Effie "Pal") of Lawtell, LA and Alma Auzenne of Opelousas, LA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
