She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence Shakesnider; her parents, Lucien Roberts and Edna Singleton Roberts; her son John Craig Shakesnider; her great grandchild Aaron Joshua Hicks, III; and her brothers, Adam Joseph Roberts and Dieu-Donna Roberts.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Larry Colomb of Sunset, LA, Joseph Glenn Shakesnider (Diane) of Opelousas, LA, Connie Shakesnider (Louis) of Opelousas, LA and Larry James Shakesnider (Stacey) of Opelousas, LA; and her sisters, Eva Roberts Colomb of Opelousas, LA, Lucille Roberts Lemon Savant of Opelousas, LA and Hilda Roberts Savoy (Joseph Wilton) of Opelousas, LA. She is also survived by six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and a host of other relatives and special friends.
