He is survived by: his wife Deborah Batiste of Opelousas, LA; his sons, Theron Batiste, Jr. (Lynette) of Opelousas, LA and Donovan Batiste, Sr. (Miranda) of Opelousas, LA; his siblings, Moses Joubert, Jr. (Sharon), Michael Joubert, Sr. (Arnette), Charles Gordon (Leona), Leroy Gordon (Justina), Anthony Gordon (Carloma), John Gordon (Dinetta), Calvin Gordon (Vanessa), Rosetta Partmon (Howard), Bernadene Rogers (Walter), Melinda Ester (Willard), Loyce Cummings (Joe), Cheryl Myers (Freddie), Velma Coleman, Mayola Barler (Carlton), Delores Gordon (Joseph) and Vera Palmer (Donald); and his grandchildren, Vernicia Batiste, Dontravious Batiste, Tyrin Malveaux, Theron Knox, Thirona Batiste, Keiana Batiste, Donovan Batiste, Jr. and Lyniah Batiste.
