She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Jolivette and Terazile Auzenne Jolivette; her husband Forrest Emile Tevis; and her brothers, John "Neddy" Jolivette and Gene "Sonny" Jolivette.
She is survived by: her children, Donald C. Tevis (Gwen) of Opelousas, LA, Rhonda G. Powell (Michael) of Carencro, LA and Kathy A. Tevis of Opelousas, LA.; and her grandchildren, Kyra Jean (Jamie), Courtney Spencer (Michael), Tanisha Lapsley (Miles), Sheryl Tevis, Kallye Sigue, Michael Powell, Jr. and Quint Powell (Amy). She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
