She is survived by: her son Oscar Sylvester, Jr. (Swandalyn Darby) of Lafayette, LA; her siblings, Rufus Jones of Opelousas, LA, Hazel Taylor of Port Barre, LA, Mary Alexander (Jimmy) of Kansas City, MO, Loretta Jones of Opelousas, LA and Minnie Pickney of Opelousas, LA; her goddaughter Veronica Narcisse of Opelousas, LA; and her grandchildren, Khaedaysjha Sylvester of Lafayette, LA, Ki'jana Sylvester of Baton Rouge, LA, Jarden Sylvester of Opelousas, LA, Sarell Barnes of Denver, CO and Jalen Barnes of Lafayette, LA.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church. A rosary will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Ford and Joseph Funeral Home (907 N Market St, Opelousas, LA 70570).
