He was predeceased by: his wife Melissa Elston; and his parents, Darrell Elston and Irma Smith Elston. He is survived by: his stepson Ryan Ebert of Port Barre; his daughter Sydney Elston of Opelousas; his sister Lisa Rangelov of Michigan; and his granddaughter Juliana Ebert. He is also survived by His loving family and friends.

His contributions to the Navy will always be remembered with gratitude.
