He is survived by: his wife Genevieve Gobert of Mallet, LA; his son Ruben Simen, Jr. (Cleotter); his grandchildren, Jibri of Opelousas, LA and Daruis of Opelousas, LA; and his sisters, Edith and Sis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
