Rita Primeaux Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Primeaux (Opelousas, Louisiana), who passed away on May 12, 2020 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Wilson Isaac Primeaux; her parents, Olivier Matte and Elena Comeaux Matte; and her siblings, Leo (Lauris Martinez Matte), Gervais (Rosa Bell Lavergne), Evens "China" (Eura Mae Richard), Wilma (L. V. Oaks) and Yvonne Matte.
She is survived by: her children, James Primeaux of Opelousas, Wanita Primeaux Buteau of Lafayette, Ralanea Primeaux of Opelousas and Deirdre Primeaux of Opelousas; and her grandchildren, Hailey Buteau of Lafayette and Dylan Buteau of Lafayette. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to the Covid 19 mandated gathering restrictions, private graveside services will be held for Rita Mae Matte Primeaux at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.
