Reul Broussard Jr. Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 22, 2021, at the age of 84, Reul Broussard Jr. of Opelousas, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Reul Broussard Sr. and Althea Desormeaux; his granddaughter Ashley Rae Blanchard; and his siblings, Bertha B. Domingue, Burley Broussard Sr., Louis Broussard and Persley Broussard.

He is survived by: his wife Effie Simon Broussard; his children, Alisa Clair Broussard Crappell (Joseph "Joe"), Kevin P. Broussard (Lauren) and Timothy "Tim" C. Broussard (Rizabel); his grandchildren, Chelsea B. Kempton (Jeff), Lauren A. Broussard, Miranda O. Broussard, Garrett A. Turner (Suzy), Joseph "Joey" Crappell (Taylor), William H. Sedlak (Candace Clement), Andrew D. Sedlak and Jeremy L. Broussard (Betsy Davis); his great grandchildren, Scott, Beau, Travis, Ben, Kinsley, Jada, Savannah, Adalyn, Evelyn and Cade; and his brother Nolan J. Broussard (Joyce). He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center of Houston, TX.
