She was predeceased by: her husband Anthony Louis Lavergne; her parents, Ellis J. Breaux and Arista Touteheque Breaux; her son Glenn Gerard Lavergne; and her siblings, Ulysses Breaux, Mazie Guidry and Ethel Soileau.

She is survived by: her children, Ray E. Lavergne (Patsy), Delores Lavergne Ponciano (Edgar) and Mary G. Schafer (Mike); and her grandchildren, DeAnn Ponciano, Devi Ponciano, Alejandro Ponciano (Michelle), Carolyn Oertel (Sven), Omar Ponciano (Daniela), Stephen Lavergne (Francine), Kim Sonnier (Ron), Troy Lavergne, Christine Hebert (Chad), Stephanie Schafer, Nikki May (John) and Stacy Babin (Barry). She is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
