She was predeceased by: her husband Carl Venable; her father Curtis Hooks Sr.; her brothers, Johnny Hooks and Christopher Hooks; and her half-brother Curtis "Bubby" Hooks Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Aunt Raye, Nicholas Carl Venable (Heidi) of Youngsville and Danielle Rosa Venable Richard (David) of Church Point; her mother Lillian Hooks of Opelousas; and her siblings, Mark Hooks (Ruth), Ryan Hooks (Pam), Matthew Hooks and Vanessa Thibodeaux (Darrell).
