He was predeceased by: his parents, Florand J. Cormier and Edmea Melancon; and his siblings, Florand J. Cormier, Jr., Floyd Cormier, Lillie Mae Briggs and Mary Etheline Cormier.
He is survived by: his wife Alice M. Cormier of Opelousas; his children, Daphne Cormier Stevens (Kenneth) of Lafayette and Brian Patrick Cormier (Colleen) of Rowlette, TX; his grandchildren, Jeannelle D. Wolf (Blake) and Alex Mason Cormier; and his great grandchild Ellie Grace Wolf. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
