He was predeceased by: his parents, Miriam Barnett Doherty and James Paul Doherty, Sr.. He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Doherty LeBleau (Frank) and Miriam Doherty Bourgeois (Richard); and his former wife Toby Veltin Doherty. He is also survived by his brothers.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church (2125 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A rosary was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 10:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
