He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother Rick Pavlu; his wife Rhoda Annette Alford Spence of Opelousas; his children, Shane Spence (Rachel) of Harrisburg, MS, Lorne Spence of Opelousas, Rae-Anne Leonards (Daniel) of Rayne, Catherine Setliff (Nathan) of Opelousas and Amanda Spence of Morton, MS; his grandchildren, Ryan Spence, Stephen Spence, Skylar Spence, Mackenzie Woods, Selena Setliff, Delana Setliff, Ian Setliff, Jake Spence and Sophia Spence; his mother Marleen Flanagan of Tupelo, MS; his siblings, Susan Taylor of Thaxton, MS and Shellan Spence (Rita) of Thaxton, MS.; his father Elvin Owen Spence; his stepfather Clayborn Flanagan; his grandparents, Lorne E. Spence, Minnie Spence, Howard and Marie Funk; his grandson Bradley Shane Spence; his niece Sarah Spence; his nephew Seth Spence; and his father-in-law Rev. Harrell O. Alford (Annie). He was also cherished by brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews.
