With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ora Lene Thomas (Opelousas, Louisiana), who passed away on September 17, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Elton Thomas, Jr.; her parents, Ogden Johnson and Sarah Eaglin; her sons, Mark Anthony Ware, Lee Thomas and Floyd Thomas; her siblings, Herman, Ivory, Ervin, Andrew, Hazel and Louverdia; her grandson Ketni Thomas; and her great grandchild Kalani Princess Tezeno.
She is survived by: her children, Murphy Thomas (Anita) of Opelousas, LA, Elton Thomas, III (Latasha) of Opelousas, LA, Brian Thomas, Sr. (Winona) of Opelousas, LA, Kenny Wayne Thomas of Lake Charles, LA, James Thomas (Mena) of Beaumont, TX, Rose Thierry (Walter, Jr.) of Beaumont, TX, Jacqueline Andrus (Errol) of Beaumont, TX, Sarah (Darnell) of Opelousas, LA, Linda Thomas (Marshall) of Lafayette, LA and OraDell Tezeno (Louis, Sr.) of Dallas, TX; her siblings, Issac Johnson of Los Angeles, CA and Martha Blake (Joe) of Houston, TX; her daughters-in-law, Mary Milburn Thomas of Opelousas, LA, Anna Wheeler Thomas of Opelousas, LA and Shirley Ware of Opelousas, LA; and her godchild Joubert Harris (Linda) of Baton Rouge, LA. She is also survived by thirty-four grandchildren; fifty-two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 8:00 a. m. to 10:45 a. m. at Mohorn Baptist Church. ** Please be advised we will adhere to the safety measures and precautions provided by the state of Louisiana due to COVID-19.
