He was predeceased by: his son Jay Eldon Mathews; his parents, James John Hunt and Mae Viva Richard Hunt; and his sister Lydia Hunt Bernard. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Overmyer Hunt; his children, Tim Hunt (Rhonda) of Deville, Connie Bell (Dennis) of DeQuincy, Jan Barrow (Wayne) of DeQuincy, Melinda Mathews of Woodville and David Mathews of West Monroe; and his brothers, Andrew Hunt (Lou), Mike Hunt (Linda) and Jerry Hunt. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
