She was predeceased by: her granddaughter Michelle Phillips; her son-in-law Jim Fortenberry; her parents, Shirley J. Soileau and Ruth Doucet Soileau; her mother-in-law Lynch Phillips; and her great-nephews, Michael Alexander, Carlos, Jared and Caleb.
She is survived by: her husband J. L. Phillip, Jr.; her daughters, Lynette Phillips McKinney of Opelousas and Stephanie Phillips of New Orleans, LA.; her grandchildren, Phillip McKinney, Matthew McKinney, Phoebe Rose Fortenberry and Avery Erin Fortenberry; her great grandchildren, Carson Phillip McKinney, Caleb Matthew McKinney and Bree Michelle McKinney; her sisters, Gloria Soileau of Washington, Shirley Ruth S. Marcus of Opelousas and Carolyn S. Macip of Washington; and her nieces and nephews, Wynn, Don, Nancy, Allison, DeeDee, Will and Marcus.
