She was predeceased by: her husband Homer Richard; her parents, Mike David, Sr. and Mildred Jay David; and her siblings, Mickey David and Agnes Granland.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Richard (Susan), Glenn Richard (Suzanne), Pam Ozenne (Billy), Kathleen Taylor and Joanne Briley (Butch). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Skip Montet Chapel at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas (2845 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM and from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Landry Catholic Church (1020 N Main St, Opelousas, LA 70570).
