Nick Salinas Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 7, 2024, at the age of 83, Nick Salinas of Opelousas, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Salinas and Manuela Alvarez; and his brother Joe Salinas. He is survived by: his close friend Mavis Kelly of Opelousas; his children, Tommy Salinas (Carla) of Carencro, LA, Sharon Dupre of Houma, LA, Sandra Duthu (Chuck) of Houma, Vicki Cenac (Bryan) of Houma and Nikki Chavis (John) of Leesville, LA; his brothers, Guadalupe Salinas (Rosa) of Houston, Hector Salinas (Lety) of San Antonio, TX and Ray Salinas of McAllen, TX.; and also, Dale Kelly (Missy), Tyler, Noah and Brayden Kelly of Opelousas. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Guidry Funeral Home (219 N Broadway St, Church Point, LA 70525). A rosary was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Cemetery Committal Service.
