He is survived by: his wife Hazel Ashby Johnson of Opelousas, LA; his children, Denzel Christopher Johnson, Sr. (Lacey) of Geismar, LA and Natalie Johnson Angelle (Kevin) of Opelousas, LA; his sister Charlotte Bell of Baton Rouge, LA; his grandchildren, Nathaniel, III, Natara, Kevin, Jr., Adele, Denzel, Jr. and Deion; his great grandchild Amielle; and his godchildren, Dale Scott (Calvin, Sr.) of New Orleans, LA and Lionel Roberts, Jr. of New Orleans, LA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
