With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Murphy B. Marks in Opelousas, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 26, 2024 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by: her husband Leroy Marks, Sr.; her son Leroy Marks, Jr.; her parents, Louis Bergeron Sr. and Aleta Brasseaux Bergeron; her siblings, Curley Bergeron, Louis Bergeron, Jr., Kermick Bergeron, Hilda Courville and Amy Stelly; her granddaughter Dana Polozola; and her children-in-law, Dedree Ryder and Ronald Lanclos.
She is survived by: her daughter Joyce Lanclos; and her grandchildren, Pam Lamke (Arthur), Steven Ryder, Sr. (Melissa), Dawn Lanclos (Miguel) and Terrie Jaramillo (Rolan). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
