He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ryder (Nora Ryder) and Nora Ryder; his grandparents, David, Marie Lalonde, Earl and Laura Ryder; his parents-in-law, Edmond and Jeanette Thibodeaux; and his brother-in-law Karl Thibodeaux.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Thibodeaux Ryder; his children, Charley Ryder and Dylan Ryder; his in-laws, Vanessa Ortego of Opelousas, LA and Karleen Kaiser of Lugoff, SC; his siblings, Ray Ryder (Myra) of Lafayette, LA, Buddy Ryder of Opelousas, LA, Toby Ryder (Stacey) of Lafayette, LA, Jeannie Davis (Johnny) of Jonesboro, LA, Davy Ann Ryder of Opelousas, LA, Terri Cole (Dee) of Baton Rouge, LA and Vicky Kleuver (Darren) of Las Vegas, NV.; his grandchildren, Paco, Braylon, Bailee, Jacelyn, Rylan, Adalyn and Emalynn; and his great grandchild Khi.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home (2845 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A rosary was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bellevue Memorial Park (4833 LA-182, Opelousas, LA 70570).
