He is survived by: his wife Deanna Melancon; his daughter McKayla Melancon; his stepdaughters, Shampella and Bianca Pitre; his siblings, James Melancon (Joseph Lionel Melancon, Sr.), Vernon Melancon (Paul Melancon), Jennifer Melancon, Ronald Melancon (Prenell Melancon) and Wendy Melancon (Wilson); and his granddaughters, Zariah, I, Briel and Za'laya. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts other relatives and friends.
