He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Edwards and Willie Mae Guillory Edwards; his siblings, McDonald Edwards, Kenneth Edwards, Sr., Barbara Edwards Guillory and Joella Edwards; his stepson Michael Sparks; and his granddaughter Jaidynn E. Wheeler.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Chavis Edwards of Ville Platte, LA; his son James Edwards (Candace) of Opelousas, LA; his stepson Derrick Sparks of Opelousas, LA; his daughters, Racheal Edwards (Lawrence Wheeler) of Opelousas, LA and Joella Williams (George) of Katy, TX; his siblings, David Edwards of Ville Platte, LA, William L. Edwards (Gladys) of Carencro, LA, Paul Jerry Edwards (Susan) of Carencro, LA, Sheryll Derouselle (Henry) of Breaux Bridge, LA, Jacqueline Edwards Donegan (Floyd) of Augusta, GA, Marilyn Edwards Tolliver (Mike) of Breaux Bridge, LA and Susan Jones of Lafayette, LA; and his nephew Michael Davis. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
