She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Ray Pitre; and her parents, Robert Venable and Emeree Venable. She is survived by: her daughters, Christine Pitre Castillo (Tony) of Arnaudville and Stephanie Pitre Higgins (Steven) of Plano, Texas.; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Lauren Reviere Turner (Austin), Dr. Adrienne Reviere Harst (Chance) and Leslie Reviere Ott (Zachary); her sons, Bryant, Robert, Kim Vinable Thompson (Jamie), Brennen and Kaden; her siblings, Jean Venable Reviere (Jerry Reviere) and Robert Venable, Jr. (Catherine Latchalais Venable); and also Jed Reviere (Cindy Hidalgo).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Sibille Funeral Home (2309 George Dr, Opelousas, LA 70570). A prayer will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Landry Catholic Church (1020 N Main St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A burial will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery (174 Church St, Grand Coteau, LA 70541).
Maxine Pitre will be remembered not only for her contributions to her community through her business but also for the profound love she shared with her family.
