She was predeceased by: her husband Junius Brooks; her parents, Peter Charles and Theresa Powell Charles; and her siblings, Maurice Charles, Allen Charles, Innis Charles, Junius Charles, Wilfred Charles, Mary Henrietta Charles Fountain, Nola Mae Brooks and Francis Charles Barlowe. She is also survived by forty one grandchildren, sixty great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
