She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam Fontenot and Doris Deville Fontenot; her children, Lester Hyre and Sherrie "Pote" Lemen; and her grandsons, John Lemen, Jr. and Dr. Christopher Montgomery.
She is survived by: her husband George Lemen; her children, John Lemen (Karensue) and Susan Robertson (Floyd Dupre); her sister Virgin Dupre; and her grandchildren, Jessica Sandoz (Stephen) of Opelousas, Maxwell Lemen of Roswell, GA, Ayla Humphrey (Bobby) of Saint Petersburg, FL, Will Lemen (Blaire) of Columbus, OH and Beau Lemen. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
