It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mae Chautin of Opelousas, Louisiana, who passed away on October 30, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Henry Godeau; her parents, Clebert Chautin and Josie Myers Chautin; her sisters, Eula Ortego (Lawrence), Beatrice Grimmett (Floyd), Emma Ardoin (Huey) and Anna Josie Chautin; her brother-in-law Bill Ardoin; and her nephew Chip Ardoin.
She is survived by: her siblings, Joseph Chautin (Sonny) and Odile Chautin Ardoin; and her godchildren, Odile, Roxie, Mike, Jason, Clay, Johanna, Ronald, Gary and Jerry John. She is also survived by 28 nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
