It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mable Veazie (Opelousas, Louisiana), who passed away on August 20, 2018, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Russell Veazie; her parents, Horace Fountain and Ella Fountain; and her siblings, Alfred Fountain, Sr., Aaron Fountain, Charles Fountain, Corine Spencer and Camelia Young.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ella Pearl Williams of Opelousas, LA and Irma Jean Cooper (Ralph) of Houston, TX; her sisters, Annie DeLaine of Opelousas, LA and Lelia Cooper of Houston, TX; her grandchildren, LaTonja Davis (Deon) of Murphy, TX, Brian O'Keith Major (Tara) of Rowlett, TX, LaShunda Green (Bryan) of Opelousas, LA and Ralph David Cooper of Houston, TX; and her great grandchildren, Cooper Sanders, Conner Sanders, Brooke Major, Brylan Green, Jackson Major, Braelyn Green and Hannah Cuya. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
