She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Bibbs and Annie Prudhomme Bibbs; and her siblings, Evelyn Guidry, Anna Lou Savoy, Thelma Istre, Clarence Bibbs, Jr. and Thomas Gene Bibbs.
She is survived by: her husband John Ferrel Lavergne, Sr. of Opelousas; her children, John Ferrel Lavergne, Jr. of Houston, TX, Joanne Lavergne of Opelousas and Dianne Lavergne Holden (Mark) of Opelousas; her sister Earlene Duos of Nuba; and her grandchildren, Tracie Pitre (Craig) of Pecan Island, Michael Darby (Mindy) of Sunset, Shanda Darby of Ville Platte, Christopher Darby (Nikki) of Keller, TX, Kellie Stanford (Brian) of Apex, NC, Lacie Darby (Roth) of New Orleans and Jade Rose of Opelousas. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
