He was predeceased by: his daughter Roxanne Dardeau; his parents, Elton Latiolais and Hazel Richard Latiolais; his brothers, Verlin Latiolais and Rick Latiolais; and his grandson John "Carl" Cary.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Huguet Latiolais; his children, Angie Latiolais Boagni (Andy Boagni) of Opelousas, Paula Dardeau of Opelousas and Michael Dardeau of Opelousas; his brothers, Rhyney Latiolais (Melba) of Opelousas and Donald Latiolais (Sharon) of Port Allen; and his grandsons, Dylan Fontenot, Brock Dardeau, Luke Menard, Austin Dardeau and Ross Menard.
