He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis C. Massamore and Margaret Massamore; his brother James E. Massamore; his parents-in-law, Henry and Jeanette Roark; his in-laws, Jerry and Vivian Chumley; and his nephew Matthew Sweeney.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Roark Massamore; his children, Mark Massamore, Paul Massamore and Katie Hoffmann (Bradley); his grandchildren, Shelby Jenkins (Josh), Alisyn Massamore, Marie Auter (Aaron), Kaydence Hoffmann, Ava Pavlis, Gage Hoffmann and Hailey Pavlis; his great grandchild Andrew Auter; his in-laws, Susan Massamore, Elaine Turner (Fred), Duane Roark (Roxanne) and Lisa Sweeney (Bill); and his nieces and nephews, Heather Heronemus (Mike), Shannon Lehsten (Tom), Tim Chumley (Lisa), Brian Chumley (Jennifer), Gine Oglesbee (Lee), Brian Turner (Beverly), Ken Turner (Katrina), Sarah Tipton (Adam), Dustin Roark (Shelby), Dalton Roark (Moriah), Samantha Sweeney and Heather Dunny (Nick).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Sibille Funeral Home (2309 George Dr, Opelousas, LA 70570). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery (1610 Evangeline Rd, Jennings, LA 70546). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel Baptist Church (4207 W Laskey Rd, Toledo, OH 43623).
