He is survived by: his daughters, Kyra Fontenot of Opelousas, LA and Donna Chevis of Opelousas, LA; his siblings, Donald (Cathy) of Opelousas, LA, Merrick, Jr. of Opelousas, LA, Robert (Carolyn) of Baytown, TX, Gary (Rachel) of Lafayette, LA, Beverly Shaw (Vern) of Opelousas, LA and Debra Collins (Clayton) of Lawtell, LA; and his grandchildren, Kairah, Lamar, Tayshaun, Dayanara, Dietrick, Kyrelle, Daron, Alayah and Davien. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
