It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth DeJean of Opelousas, Louisiana, born in Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on August 11, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie DeJean and Anna Dugas DeJean; and his parents-in-law, James Pitre and Lou Richard Pitre. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Pitre DeJean of Sunset, LA; his daughters, Shellie DeJean Albarado (Chris) of Leonville, LA and Micki DeJean Beck (Matt) of Winter Park, FL.; his grandchildren, Brayden, Briley Albarado and London Beck; his sister Beryl DeJean of Youngsville, LA; and his brother-in-law Scott Pitre (Emily) of Port Barre, LA.. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews.
