He was predeceased by: his parents, Fulton Edwards and Sylvia Edwards; his siblings, Danny, Robert Edwards, Jennie Pearl Edwards Allison and Laura Dell Mickens; and his granddaughter Ronata Sam.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Lee Edwards of Opelousas, LA; his daughters, Gwendolyn Sam of Opelousas, LA and Pamela Mayon (Ray) of Baton Rouge, LA; and his siblings, James Darrell Edwards (Martha) of Opelousas, LA, Norma Edwards of San Francisco, CA and Carla Edwards of Lafayette, LA.
