It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Glenn Shakesnider (Opelousas, Louisiana), who passed away on November 13, 2020, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Shakesnider and Wilda Roberts Shakesnider; his brothers, John Craig Shakesnider and Re'nee Shakesnider; his nephew Aaron Joshua Tyreak Hicks; his grandparents, Lucien Roberts, Edna Singleton Roberts, Joseph Aladin Shakesnider and Mary Richard Shakesnider; and his godfather Calvin Colomb.
He is survived by: his godmother Hilda Roberts Savoy (Joseph); his children, Joseph Glenn Shakesnider, Jr. and Jamela Keosha Nichols; his goddaughter Ashley Lynn Guillory; his siblings, Larry James Shakesnider and Connie Lynn Shakesnider; and his grandchildren, Kentravion George, Terrion Cary, Jayven Cary and Keriona Nichols. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
