He was predeceased by: his parents, Octave Duplechain and Beatrice Duplechain; and his grandparents, Joseph and Alice Arnaud Amos. He is survived by: his wife Mary Leola Richard Duplechain of Opelousas, LA; his children, Jonathan "Bobby" Duplechain (Bernadine) of Church Point, LA, Marc Williams of Houston, Richard "Toby" Duplechain (Angel) of Opelousas, Ron Williams (Anna) of Laplace, LA, Ronald Patin (Wendy) of Opelousas, LA, Roger Dawkins of Palmetto, LA, Elizabeth Duplechain of Opelousas, LA, Daphanie Nevills (Stanley) of Opelousas, LA and Samantha Duplechain (Jimmy) of Opelousas, LA; and his stepson Keith Fontenot (Katherine) of Opelousas, LA. He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 8:00 a. m. to 9:45 a. m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA. ** Please be advised we will adhere to the safety measures and precautions provided by the state of Louisiana due to COVID-19.
