He was predeceased by: his wife Nita Robertson Bellard; his parents, John Bellard and Effie Sonnier Rubin; his brothers, Charles Sonnier, Gilbert Sonnier and Terry Rubin; and his daughter-in-law Hanna Bellard.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Bellard of Opelousas, LA, Lee Andrew Bellard (Katherine) of Opelousas, LA, Joseph Phillip Bellard of Opelousas, LA, Alex Bellard (Julia) of Port Barre, LA, Stella Taylor of Opelousas, LA and Christy Bryant (Kim) of Sunset, LA; and his siblings, Johnny E. Bellard of Malden, MA, Shelia Sam Rubin of Opelousas, LA, Joanie Bellard Ross of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Bessie Bellard Ross of Malden, MA. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
