With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Kirt Soileau of Opelousas, Louisiana, who passed away on October 30, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Soileau and Leola Stears Soileau; his siblings, Betty Bellard, Ruth Soileau, Lou Santillo, Louis Soileau and Avie Soileau; and his stepdaughter Valerie Latiolais.
He is survived by: his wife Jeannie Lalonde Soileau; his stepson Carl Latiolais; his grandchildren, Ashleigh Mayfield, Matt Richard and Ryan Richard; and his great grandchildren, Kale Killingsworth and Janelle Richard.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Skip Montet Chapel at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas (2845 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM and from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Cedar Hill Cemetery (702 Cedar Hill Dr, Washington, LA 70589).
