He is survived by: his wife Kathy Guidry Ortego of Opelousas; his children, Miguel Ortego (Kathy Jo) of St. Landry, Carlos Ortego of Bayou Chicot and Ashley Crain (Chris) of Bayou Chicot; his stepdaughter Dana Miller (Shane) of Port Barre; his brother Eugene Ortego (Norma) of Ville Platte; and his stepbrothers, David Ortego of Ville Platte and John Magnus Ortego (Lynette) of Oakdale. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
